Not sure if 50/50 is fair? Calculate your split →— couples joined
For couples who don't want to guess who is paying more.
We don't need to track every coffee, but bigger expenses should feel fair.
We earn different amounts, so 50/50 doesn't always make sense.
Spreadsheets work, but nobody wants to open them every month.
Three steps instead of end-of-month guessing.
Add shared expenses
Rent, groceries, bills, subscriptions, trips, or any other costs you want to settle together.
Choose a split method
50/50, income-based split, or a custom percentage if you already have your own agreement.
Get one monthly settlement
The app shows one simple result: who pays whom to even out shared costs.
Not every couple splits costs the same way.
The app does not tell you what is fair. It helps calculate the rules you choose together.
Equal split
Good when you both want to split shared costs exactly in half.
Proportional
When incomes differ, calculate each person's share by the ratio you choose.
Custom split
Set your own rule if you already have an agreement.
Only what is shared
You don't have to track everything. Add only the shared costs for the month.
No fake banking features. No financial theater.
CoupleBud is not trying to be a bank or a huge finance platform. It is a simple tool for couples who want to settle shared costs without spreadsheets, guessing, or awkward end-of-month conversations.

Frequently asked questions
A quick note on data, the demo, pricing, and how settlements work.
What is CoupleBud?
CoupleBud is a web app (PWA) for managing a shared budget as a couple. No install required — open the link and you are ready. It works on iOS and Android.
How much does PRO cost?
PRO costs $9.99 per month or $99.99 per year for the whole couple. One subscription unlocks PRO for both partners.
How does fair income-based splitting work?
Enter your incomes or set your own percentage, such as 60/40. The app calculates who should cover which share of shared expenses and who pays whom at the end of the month.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. If within 14 days you decide the app is not for you, email getcouplebud@gmail.com.
Is my financial data safe?
We do not connect to your bank. You enter only the expenses you want to settle. The app does not analyze your accounts or transaction history.
Do we need a joint bank account?
No. If a joint account works for you, great. CoupleBud is for couples who keep separate accounts or simply want to settle shared costs clearly.
Is this for tracking every coffee?
It does not have to be. It works best for shared monthly costs: rent, groceries, bills, fuel, subscriptions, and similar expenses.
Does my partner also need an account?
For shared sync, yes. One person creates the couple and sends a code; the other joins with that code. You can view the demo without an account.
Is this financial advice?
No. It is a tool for tracking and settling expenses. It does not tell you which financial decision is right for you.
Isn’t a spreadsheet enough?
A spreadsheet can be enough. CoupleBud makes sense when you want to add expenses quickly from your phone, see the shared balance, and stop fixing a sheet every month.
Open the demo together and see if it solves your problem.
The simplest test: open the example, see one monthly settlement, and decide calmly whether you want to use it together.
